Chris Ho turns everyday melancholy into a bold and empowering art form, rather than a well-kept secret. A folk-meets-indie-pop artist based in Western Canada, his music explores themes of self-expression, understanding one’s identity, and resilience. His music is a dynamic blend of raw, earthy acoustics with idyllic indie-pop melodies and poetically charged vocals.
Ho has independently released one EP (Answers, 2011), two full-length albums (City of Dust, 2012; Places You've Been, 2017), and three new singles (Fake News, EIE, Borrowed Books, 2020/21). He's toured across Western Canada, including performances at Rifflandia, NXNE, and the VIA Rail "Tracks on Tracks" tour. He's won Island Songwriter of the Year (2013 Vancouver Island Music Awards) and was featured on "The Seen" Shaw TV South Vancouver Island Cable TV (2014).
