"Woman of the Wind" Live Session

In support of my new record, I decided to recruit some help and film a couple of live acoustic sessions.

First, a bit of the back story: Lucas James (Aeuria) is an incredibly talented musician and photographer, so naturally I was super excited when he agreed to take a few promotional shots for me. After spending a bit more time with him I saw too that not only was he a talented guy, but also a kind and humble soul. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. Typically I feel a bit awkward and self conscious when it comes to photo shoots, but he made me feel relaxed, as if we'd known each other for ages. Once he sent me the first batch of photos from the shoot I was sold. So many of them were record cover material, and it was difficult to choose just one. Eventually after asking around, I landed on the one that was taken at Garry Point right as the sun was setting, and the rest is history.

Needless to say it didn't take long for me to ask Lucas if he wanted to film me performing a couple tracks of my new record live off the floor, and thankfully he agreed. Thus the dream team was created with Liam Moes and Sandy Hughes doing sound, and Lucas James doing the filming and editing.

The first live session to be released will be for Track 3 from Places You've Been: "Woman of the Wind." Can't wait to share it with you all on September 13th.
